Yanagi has been one of my favorite spots in southwest Austin for years and it never fails to impress with the quality and freshness of every single dish. The sushi and sashimi are expertly crafted using high quality fish and the creative rolls like the Hawaiian Volcano and the Special Salmon are absolutely outstanding and unlike anything you will find elsewhere in the city. The menu is wonderfully extensive covering everything from classic sushi and sashimi to ramen, tempura and bento boxes which means there is genuinely something for every taste. The staff is warm, attentive and always ready to make personalized recommendations which makes every visit feel special. With great happy hour deals and consistently generous portions Yanagi offers exceptional value that keeps you coming back time and again. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Had a lovely dinner here the other night prior to a Costco run. Our server was so nice and the food was delicious. The sushi was fresh, the edamame was salted nicely, the gyoza was tender and flavorful, and the Sapporo was ice cold. I might have to make this a pre-Costco ritual.
