Yasu is a cozy restaurant located on Sakanamachi in Hamamatsu, offering an intimate dining experience with its small seating capacity. The restaurant consists of two quaint izakayas, featuring a total of approximately eight counter seats and four at tables, managed diligently by the owner himself. Though slightly off the beaten path of the main bar district, Yasu’s semi-underground location provides a hidden gem feel for those seeking a more secluded spot.

Known for its delicious yakitori and oden, the menu includes small plates and beverages like beer, cocktails, and other alcohol options, though it lacks all-you-can-drink deals or course menus. The establishment does not currently provide delivery service or list any specific accessibility accommodations such as wheelchair-accessible entrances. While smoking is permitted, patrons have enjoyed the reasonably priced meals and cozy atmosphere.

Yasu is popular for dinner, attracting both solo diners and groups who appreciate attentive customer service. Reservations are recommended given its limited capacity, and payment can be made conveniently via Rakuten Pay, credit card, or PayPay. The restaurant operates different hours throughout the week, opening for lunch and dinner on weekdays, and mainly during the evening over the weekend. Recent updates from the owner are sparse, leaving some operational aspects unconfirmed.

There were two small izakayas with about 8 seats at the counter and 4 seats at the table, and the master was managing the restaurant by himself. Oden and yakitori were standard menu items. All-you-can-drink and course menus are not listed on the menu. Smoking allowed The location is slightly outside the bar district and is semi-underground, giving it a hideaway-like feel. The food was delicious, including the yakitori. When I visited, the food was slow to come out because it was full, but the quality of the food was enough to keep me waiting. As it is a small shop, I felt that the master was attentive to the customers. Another customer was ordering curry, and it smelled very good and appetizing. I think I'll order it next time I go. Payment can be made by credit card or PayPay.
