Yasu ruined every other meal of our trip to Ecuador, and I mean that as the highest compliment. His food was so spectacular that everything we ate afterward suffered by comparison. I went in with very high expectations after reading other reviews, and somehow he still exceeded them. This was not just a great meal. It was one of those rare dining experiences that resets your baseline for what food can be. Thoughtful, precise, creative, and executed flawlessly. Every course felt intentional, balanced, and genuinely exciting. It honestly felt like being at the best restaurant you can imagine, except you’re in Cuenca, in the most intimate setting, being cooked for by someone operating at the absolute top of his game. Holy hell, it’s good. If you are anywhere near Cuenca and care even a little about food, you should make this a priority. Do not miss it. You will think about this meal long after your trip is over. This is the food they serve in heaven! I'm sure of that. It was such an honor for my wife and I to have Yasu, an absolute Master of his craft, serve us eight of the most exquisite dishes I have ever experienced. This is a gift for the senses and memories we will always cherish. Easily the best meal of my life and I'm in my late forties. Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Yasu is a Japanese trained chef. This is one of the best dining experiences ever. He presents an 8 course meal, which includes 2 deserts, that is delicious and expertly presented. He describes each course in English, Spanish or both. You can ask for vegetarian or vegan meals, or a combination of both. Also, bring your own wine if you want. We usually reserve a week in advance. All of his ingredients are top quality. This is not a restaurant. He only serves one reservation at a time. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
