Definitely the most British 'chippy' experience so far since living here. Well worth the 30 mile drive from where we live in MA. Malt vinegar is on the tables and also available in 'to go' sachets. Just wish there was the option of curry sauce or mushy peas as a side. Also would have loved some bread and butter to make a chip butty. The portions were generous. I realized too late that I could have ordered a smaller portion but the pups enjoyed some delicious fish supper when we got home.We will come again!

6/26/2024 Needless to say for 16.95 the fish and chips was not worth it. The fish was small and the portion of fries even smaller. I don't mind paying if I get my monies worth but this definitely was not worth the trip. My wife had the fish and chips and I had a fish cake. The fish cake had very little potato And was small in size. The service was good and the cashiers were very pleasant. I have been here many times and the portions are just a fraction of what they were. I will not be driving from Providence where I live to go here anymore. It's sad because YE OLD was a great place to come AND ENJOY the seafood. once again, I guess I should've checked the reviews.

I recently moved back to the area and I hadn't been to Ye Olde English Fish & Chips for more than 10 years. I was pleased to find the quality of the fish and chips here has remained as good as it always was.
