STREET FOOD, ELEVATED. COCKTAILS, REDEFINED. VIBES, INTENTIONALLY CURATED. Ikeja is still Old Money for a reason. I got referred for a client meeting in Lekki recently (hospitality consultancy business as usual), but here’s the twist — someone mentioned a spot called YOKO Lagos and I had to check it out. This place is new, but already has that “if you know, you know” secrecy to it. Not a loud space, not chasing hype — but me, I came to loud it. I’m not a food influencer, not a TikTok “get ready with me” content creator. I’m a Lead Hospitality Consultant at GREiPR — we only work with restaurant brands, so I don’t play with reviews. If I mention a place, it’s because it deserves it. And YOKO Lagos does. The menu isn’t confused or trying to impress everybody. It’s tight, minimal, well-curated, classy — and shockingly AFFORDABLE (no lies, no cap). Oh, and it’s right behind Yellow Chilli. If you’re an old-money Ikeja person, a 90’s baby at heart, someone who loves Nigerian street food but prefers to eat it in a polished, adult environment — no noise, no Gen-Z chaos, just vibes and good music — this is the spot. Over the next few months, I’ll be watching closely. I don’t want this experience to drop in quality. If anything changes, my review will too. So, this is a call to the calm ballers, the seasoned chillers, the papas and mamas of Lagos — Old Money Ikeja may have just birthed a gem. If you’ve visited and had a bad experience, drop it in the comments. I’ll personally ensure it gets addressed — energy for energy.
