Yuugetsu is pretty near Togetsukyo. Clients point out that they like Japanese cuisine here. Taste perfectly cooked sashimi, seafood and beef. It's nice to order great tea.

An amazing place! A little hidden jewel in Arashiyama! Lots of beautiful and well-balanced flavors, delicious meat and plum wine, all served in a traditional restaurant with tatami floors. The food was delicious, service was phenomenal, and ambience was just beyond this world. We ordered the seasonal multi-course traditional Japanese meal set, and the wagyu shabu. Everything was really good, and very well balanced. What a unique experience and we wouldn't have had it any other way. We were the only customers here at 6pm on a Sunday, which is absolutely baffling! Come here for a great traditional Japanese dinner experience! Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

An unforgettable dining experience in Arashiyama. From the moment I walked through the beautiful wooden corridor lined with shoji screens, I knew this place was special. The atmosphere is calm, elegant and very traditional Kyoto. It feels like stepping into a refined Japanese home. The food was exceptional. The wagyu steak was perfectly grilled, tender, juicy and full of flavour. The shabu shabu set featured beautifully marbled beef that melted in the mouth, paired with fresh vegetables and delicate dipping sauces. The tempura was light and crispy, not oily at all, and every ingredient tasted fresh and seasonal. Everything was thoughtfully presented, from the rice and pickles to the small side dishes. You can feel the attention to detail in every course. Service was warm, polite and very attentive without being intrusive. The staff made the entire experience smooth and welcoming. If you are visiting Arashiyama and want an authentic, high quality Japanese meal in a serene setting, Yuugetsu is a must visit. Truly a five star experience.
