The standard dropped significantly pre and post covid. We had Omakase back in 2018 But it seems like they’re doing set meal instead of omakase now, Which is very disappointing. We revisited YUUMA last month, and I ordered a Wagyu beef rice, The rice was half soggy, feels as if you’re eating congee. We had Watermelon Squid, Black Cod Miso Bento, Ultimate bowl with Wagyu beef that air flown from Japan, Foie gras, Salmon caviar, Onsen egg and truffle teriyaki sauce on a bed of rice. Very good quality produced and flavourful! Service was not great though. Rather than attending the other customers, the older waitress was more interested in having a chit chat with her friends there for dinner. Chef was friendly and checked on the customers.
