Yuushien is what you think of when people mention Japanese garden. Yuushien encourages guests to walk at one’s own pace through a meticulously maintained display of Japanese greenery. Yuushien’s extra incentive for a visit is the seminal Japanese peony flower, with an indoor temperature-controlled section of the facility. Dining at the restaurant is just as spectacular as the views through the windows. Don't sleep on the ginseng beauty products at the store. It may be expensive, but they're worth it. Wish It'd bought more.

Truly amazing display of peonies and other flowers (12/4/26) This is a small garden but worth a visit at the right time. My thanks to this place for allowing cruise ship passengers to experience this visit, and apologies to management and local visitors for the obvious disruption of so many ‘loud’ and obliviously disrespectful tourists. My visit was with complete respect.
