The man serving us was so nice! He overheard my mum and I talking about Japanese curry and when we asked if we could have chicken instead of fish he said of course, and added ‘would you also want curry?’ So he heard us and made me probably the best bowl of rice, veggies, curry and chicken I’ve ever had! He asked if that’s what I wanted and I said yes, because it was quite literally exactly what I pictured. After we were done he made sure we liked it and told us that at the end of the day it wasn’t what’s on the menu and it’s what the customer wants. Honestly, best food I’ve had in a long time! Was considering visiting this venue as the menu looked amazing. I always look at reviews prior to dining, and was shocked to see a response from the owner to a customer reveiw. It was extremley rude, if this is how they respond to customer feedback, I will not be visitng this place at all, the response from the owner, is very off putting and to be honest makes me a little scared to dine at this venue.

The presentation of food was beautiful, but the food itself wasn't very good. The Wagyu truffle had no truffle flavour at all. The tuna tataki appeared to have the exact same toppings as the Wagyu truffle, and I'm surprised that the waitress didn't warn us of this or recommend another dish with differing flavour profiles. The ikura scallop was okay but it seems like the ingredients were chosen for aesthetic value more than for their flavours. The best dish by far was the prawn poppers, which were delicious. But perhaps it was just the only dish that wasn't soaked in yuzu ponzu. The rice was also very dry. There was no music playing at all, so all we could listen to was the road noise outside.
