Good location on hillside in forest. But large animals were constrained to small enclosures, giraffes in particular. Most animal posters had some English. Public transit works thru nearest subway station Maruyama Koen. Also couples well with Hokkaido Jingu Shrine and/or Sapporo Olympic Museum.
