The food at Zafferano Trattoria Mediterranea is excellent. The restaurant is small, however it has a great atmosphere and the staff are friendly. We had a number of delicious dishes and its hard to choose a favourite, so I'll mention a couple of highlights. We loved the Panelle and had never had it before. They are Sicilian fritters made with chickpea flour. I'd recommend a blackboard special if it is available again: Ziti ragu d'agnello- which is Ziti pasta with rich lamb ragu.
