We had dinner on New Year's Eve, as a family. The first thing to say is that upon our arrival, despite there being nine diners, the layout of the tables was more than great, then the attention of the entire team, along with the owner in charge, Camacho, was exceptional from the first moment. . The New Year's Eve menu they offered was simply unbeatable, and of extraordinary quality. As for the service, I repeat that it was magnificent. There was no room, but since they gave the option to join the waiting list, I signed up, just in case, while I was looking for another shelter. But in cerocoma they answered me "ok-pa'dentro." The owner, Camacho, the son of a merchant marine, serves you, which gave me the reason to "enter" him due to work proximity, and who had the kindness to sit with me and chat for a while. But hey, all this is not relevant for the stars... I ate a portion of brutal grilled boletus, which you don't need teeth to eat, and a pixín...What can we say about the pixín? Brutal portion, exquisite, I ended up sucking on thorns with pain in my body, and a consequent tear in my eye because there was not even an atom of animal left to eat on the plate. Another issue is that what is greatly appreciated, for those of us who sometimes have to eat alone, is the quantity and quality of wines by the glass that they serve. And in this country there is a lot of intelligent wine life beyond Rioja/Ribera. I had two glasses of Alicante wine I'm not much of a dessert person, so I ordered a couple of very delicious sweet Andalusian wines to finish the tribute. In short, maximum "richness", and a brutal pleasure-price ratio. I will always remember Zascandil as those couple of hours in which it was my home, and to which I must return.
