Just do yourself a favor and skip this one. Especially at night. They locked the doors before 10pm. When i told them i have a pickup order that was already ready they had me get into the drive thru line that was extremely long. I could not cancel on the app, so i had to wait 30 minutes in that deive thru line for cold food that got soggy from the steam in the tied bag . 0/5 if i could. Rude employees that clearly do not want to be there. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

If you order online be ready to wait. I ordered and payed for my food, nothing special just two big zac snack meals. Got to the restaurant gave my name.when I finally made it to the window to pick up my food they asked me to park and someone was going to bring it out. Well after 20 minutes I went inside to get my food and they told me someone else had picked up my food. REALLY. They ended up making my order over. If you don't want a LONG wait stay away from the Flat shoals road location. Only thing good was that the food was hot . Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 1

I’m extremely disappointed with the service at the Zaxby’s on Flat Shoals in Decatur. The last two Fridays I’ve ordered curbside, and both experiences were frustrating and poorly handled. Last week, I ordered a meal along with a 16-oz bottle of Zax Sauce. When I arrived, I checked in for curbside and waited almost 10 minutes. No one ever came out with my order, so I went inside to check on it. At that point they were still preparing my food, which was fine, but I was then told they didn’t have the 16-oz bottle of Zax Sauce that I had already paid for. Instead of offering a solution or a refund, the employee simply kept saying, “We don’t have it.” I had to ask what they planned to do since I already paid for it. I suggested they give me the smaller sauces to make up the difference. She initially gave me six, which clearly didn’t equal the value of what I paid. After I pointed that out, she asked the manager, who approved giving me 20 sauces. However, the employee had a noticeable attitude while counting them out and even handed them to me in a way that seemed intentionally careless, like she expected them to spill everywhere. This week, I placed another curbside order hoping the previous experience was just a one-off. Unfortunately, it wasn’t. I checked in for curbside and waited again. No one ever came out. When I went inside and said I had a mobile curbside order, the employee looked at the pickup shelf and my order was already sitting there. When I asked if they were going to bring it outside, she said they “didn’t know it was curbside.” I looked at the receipt and it clearly said curbside. To make matters worse, when she handed me my drink, she wouldn’t even extend her arm across the counter. She just held it there and made me lean over the counter to grab it myself while she looked directly at me. It felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive. Beyond these two interactions, the service at this location is consistently slow. The line is almost always long regardless of the time of day, and unfortunately the slow service often comes with an attitude from staff. Slow service is one thing, but poor customer service on top of that makes the experience even worse. I really hope management addresses the curbside process and customer service at this location, because right now it’s not meeting even basic expectations.
