1st restaurant name was not clear, and there is a person outside, trying to attract people to eat there, and he told us that the resturant has another name, and this is why i wasn’t able to find it.. We ordered risotto sea food and carbonara pasta with beef and everything wasn’t that good ..not really recommended and not worth the price. (1 star) *******Apparently, I am unclear about my experience. So to clarify... I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR FOOD THAT WAS MISSING OR THE WRONG ORDER. I GLADLY PAID FOR WHAT WE RECEIVED AND ATE IN GOOD FAITH, BUT DID NOT REALIZE FOOD WAS MISSING OR INCORRECT UNTIL WE WERE BACK IN OUT HOTEL ROOM, AND IT IS MY FAULT FOR NOT CHECKING AT THE INSTANT THE BAG WAS GIVEN. BUT I NOTIFIED THE RESTAURANT AS SOON AS I FOUND SOME SORT OF WEBSITE THE NEXT DAY BECAUSE AS NOTED THE RESTAURANT WAS CLOSED. SO I ASK FOR A COPY OF THE ITEMIZED BILL TO VERIFY WHAT WE RECEIVED AND WHAT WE DID NOT. THE AMOUNT FOR WHAT WE DID NOT GET AND WHAT WAS WRONG SHOULD BE REFUNDED. AS A SHOW OF GOOD FAITH ON MY PART, I'LL REMOVE MY POST AS IT WILL NO LONGER REFLECT MY OPINION ON THE MATTER. IS THAT NOT A FAIR OUTCOME? I PAY FOR AN INCOMPLETE SUBPAR MEAL, YOU EAT SOME OF THE COST.********* Visited Zio Carlo on Wednesday, April 29 around 10:30 PM with two friends after being flagged down off the street. I’ll be fair—the staff was polite on the surface, and we did receive complimentary limoncello shots and a dessert. But that’s where the positives end. What followed felt misleading at best and predatory at worst, especially toward tourists. We ordered a “sampler” appetizer after it was described as a way to try a little of everything. What was NOT explained is that we would be charged per item, per person. That turned what should have been a normal shared appetizer into an extremely inflated charge. The mixed seafood plate was priced per gram, with no estimate given—again, leaving us with no real understanding of what we were agreeing to pay. While we were there, another group of Americans was actively arguing with staff over similar issues. At the time, it was uncomfortable to watch. In hindsight, they were right to question it, because we ended up in the same situation. Because it was late and the kitchen was closing, we took the food to-go. When we got back:. Orders were wrong or missing. One meal included ingredients not ordered (bacon). The seafood was clearly not fresh (mushy, bland, and inedible). After traveling back in the rain and finally sitting down to eat, this was beyond disappointing—it was unacceptable. The final bill was over $300, which is outrageous considering the quality, accuracy, and lack of transparency. We are not refusing to pay for what we actually consumed, but this experience raises serious concerns about how items are presented, priced, and delivered. We have made multiple attempts to contact the restaurant, but there is no accessible phone number, email, or real way to resolve this directly, which is even more concerning. If the owner or management sees this, I strongly suggest you reach out immediately so this can be handled fairly. Otherwise, we will be disputing the charges. This is not about being a “difficult customer”—it’s about basic transparency, accuracy, and quality, none of which were met here.
