Eduardo and his staff could not be more passionate about ensuring each guest has a 6-star experience. We loved staying at Villa Marina and each time we ate at Ziqú was better than the last. The gorgeous views didn't hurt either!
The good: excellent views just a short walk from where the ferry docks. The restaurant is surrounded by a garden--definitely a great place to take in the view and have a few drinks. It comes with complimentary Italian cookies and a complimentary amuse Bouche. The fruit plate is large and comes with a variety of fruit. The so so: tuna pizza was lavishly adorned with tuna but the pizza sauce was only so so. We had the sense we could have gotten better or equally good pizza at the touristy restaurants at the bottom of the hill. The pizza was not worth the hike. The mixed fried fish had a nice presentation but we had better mixed fried fish the night before in sorrento. The ick: the octopus salad suffered from lack of flavor and was a little under cooked. They took it back and it returned just as bland and slightly more cooked. It seemed their chef was having trouble getting the cooking time correct. The zucchini pasta was so al dente it was actually chewy. It was also incredibly bland. Absent the view this would have been a two star review.
