After enjoying Giant Eyeball, visit this restaurant which is not far away. That's a nice idea to order tasty consomme, chicken salads and butter chicken. The tastiest dishes are good popovers. Take your chance to taste delicious wine. The Zodiac has the great coffee selection.

The warm atmosphere of this place makes visitors feel relaxed and have a good time. Most guests point out that the staff is appealing. Service at this spot is something one can call fabulous. The Zodiac in the original Neiman-Marcus in Dallas has been around for well over half a century and still offers a quiet retreat from an increasingly noisy world. The traditional small cup of broth still starts your meal as do the delicious popovers. We had the mandarin orange souffle and roast turkey and havarti sandwich, and both were delicious. And of course there was the N-M chocolate bite to send us on our way. Service was exemplary as always.
Had a great lunch with excellent service. I ordered a meal to go and was quite surprised at the container the meal was put in to take home. It was a rectangular metal pan with the cardboard top. The gravy dripped out of the container into the bag. For Neiman Marcus who like everything to be quality of their products to me this was far below quality to me. This is a container like you would get from a fast food restaurant. Very disappointing!
The Zodiac Room is a stylish venue for exceptional cocktails and decent, if not exceptional, food. The service: bustling, quick, and pleasant, though our waiter had some trouble hearing or listening to us. We are vegetarians, and explicitly told him we did not want the complimentary chicken broth, but he brought the consomme regardless. He asked if my boyfriend wanted meat on his grain bowl, he said no, and our meal came out with salmon on it. We couldn't tell whether they brought it out again after remaking it or just took the salmon off and called it good. Cocktails: Tasty! The blackberry bramble was sublime, and the orange lavender sparkle was a lovely non-alcoholic alternative. Complimentary popover and strawberry butter: delightful! Avocado toast: All of its components worked together very well- particularly the lemon- but it needed something extra to push it into the next level. Toagrashi, or something smoky. Grain bowl: My boyfriend thought it tasted good, but  lacked seasoning. "It would have tasted better if I had added some meat like they wanted me to," he said. We were pleased, though, to see a non-meat sunflower based chorizo in a non-vegan restaurant. Stone fruit salad: Good, but not very memorable. Tea selection: Very nice! Jardin Bleu was lovely. Desserts: We got two: the coconut cream tart and the eight-layer espresso chocolate cake. If you get the cake, make sure you share it between at least two people. It was rich, sophisticated, and just a lot of very heavy, and tasty, cake. The coconut cream tart was lovely- lots of fresh fruit. In summary, it was a posh dining experience, but the appetizers and entrees weren't as well thought out as we had hoped.
