If hungry, come here for nicely cooked meat pies, broth and chicken. Most visitors state that the staff is knowledgeable. Service at this restaurant is something one can call cool. The peaceful atmosphere will be exactly just what you need after a long working week. As for the Google rating, عم شلتت earned 4.1.

Extremely unprofessional and dishonest experience at عم شلتت. This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had, not because of the food, but because of the completely unacceptable behavior of the staff. We clearly told the man at the cashier that we wanted to eat inside and that we were accompanied by a baby. He explicitly told us that the wait would be around 30 minutes, suggested that we go for a walk, and promised to reserve a table for us as soon as one became available. Based on this assurance, we waited outside in the heat. We returned exactly after 30 minutes, only to find that every single table was occupied by other people who had arrived after us. When we confronted him, he suddenly changed his story and said we still had to wait, claiming that he “cannot tell people not to sit.” This is simply not acceptable. If you cannot reserve a table, do not say that you will. What made the situation worse was the complete lack of care, empathy, or responsibility, despite the fact that we had a baby with us. Instead of apologizing or trying to fix the situation, the staff became defensive... As for the food: the fateer (pies) were honestly not that tasty as advertised. Taste is, of course, subjective, but they certainly do not justify the long wait, the stress, and the chaos around getting a table. This is poor service, poor communication, and poor management—if there is any management at all. The whole place feels like it is run by amateurs who do not understand the basics of customer service or accountability. I do not recommend this place, especially for families.
