The traditional offerings of the Yucatán are here at this fantastic restaurant. The staff is friendly and inviting with a very diverse menu. Duck and rabbit in various plates. Even roasted crickets to delight the taste buds. I had the shrimp and octopus stuffed Chile poblano. The presentation was beautiful, like art. The tacos the cochinito public were done just right. I love this place.
Delicious final meal for my family's vacation. The only reason I'm giving this four stars instead of five is because of how ~s l o w~ the service was. It took about 15 min before we ordered drinks, and then another 20 min before the waiter took our food order, and this was only after I had to specifically ask him to take our order. Not a great start, and our group of four almost left the restaurant, but the food was actually so so worth it. I recommend ordering a bunch of items and splitting with your group! Shrimp from Campeche: My mom would not stop raving on how good this was! You definitely need to be a fan of coconut to enjoy this dish, but the flavors blend together really well. Duck Tacos: My personal favorite! They taste like a sweet pulled pork. Bone Marrow: Definitely an acquired taste, but they cook this really well and add a thin layer of black beans. Traditional Tortilla Soup: Goes really well with the blue corn chips they give to you as an appetizer! Suadero Tacos: Pretty basic, but delicious. Cochinita Pibil Tacos: The pork was so yummy, and tasted delicious with the complimentary salsas.
This place was excellent. We tried four different cocktails, two with Mezcal and I really wish the ingredients were listed somewhere so I can try to recreate these. We ordered the duck tacos because everyone else said they were amazing and to us they were just OK. BUT the cocktails, the chips, the server, the atmosphere, the other dishes we tried (a fish special, some ceviche, etc) were all excellent. I typically love duck so maybe it's just me. You've got to try this place, it's worth the trip.
