We came here on July 17 2026 at 11:45pm, about 15 minutes before closing, so we understood arriving that late might be inconvenient. Still, the woman working there was quite rude — she barely acknowledged us and didn’t fill our bowl properly, which felt very stingy. When we asked for certain ingredients, she said they were out, which is fine, but she could have at least properly filled with what they did have. When we asked her to add more, she simply ignored us. We’ve been to several other Bar Burrito locations, and I can say for certain: they never fill your bowl halfway and charge full price for it. This is the worst experience we had. Price per person: CA$10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant today. I placed an online order and waited almost 30 minutes, but my order was still not prepared. During that time, it seemed that walk-in customers were being served before online orders. What made the experience worse was the behavior of one staff member who was wearing goggles/glasses. He was rude when speaking to me, used an unfriendly tone, and did not handle my concerns professionally. When I asked about my order, I was told that they serve in-store customers first, which was frustrating after already waiting so long. I understand that restaurants can get busy, but customers should be treated respectfully and kept informed about delays. Unfortunately, the poor service and rude behavior made this a very negative experience. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Okay so I've lived in the Pioneer Park area of Kitchener for years and genuinely never gave this place a proper shot until last week — and I feel like an idiot for waiting this long. Went in during lunch, wasn't expecting much from a spot tucked in the Pioneer Park Shopping Centre on Pioneer Drive, but walked out absolutely stuffed and honestly a little shocked at how good the value was. Got the spicy chicken burrito as a deal and it was genuinely one of the better burritos I've had in the Kitchener-Waterloo region. They build it right in front of you — full rice, black beans, fresh pico de gallo, jalapeños, shredded cheese, sour cream — the whole thing. Not skimpy at all. The jerk chicken burrito my friend got looked even better. She's done the burrito bowl before too and says it hits every time. We've also tried the BBOX combo — that thing with the mini burrito, extreme chips and fries — solid deal for the price, especially if you're grabbing cheap lunch near Pioneer Park Kitchener. What I appreciate is that they actually cater to basically everyone — there's a gluten-friendly tortilla option, loads of vegetarian and vegan burrito choices like the falafel and bean burrito, and the whole setup is halal-friendly, which matters a lot in this part of Kitchener. The crunchy chicken burrito is new and kind of slept on — do the bang bang sauce version, trust me. Staff at this BarBurrito Pioneer Park location were quick and knew what they were doing. Didn't feel rushed but didn't wait long either. The place was clean, which — not a given for fast-casual spots. Parking at Pioneer Park Shopping Centre is never a problem either, which is a huge plus if you're commuting through South Kitchener or coming from Doon, Huron, or Trillium area. If you're searching burritos near me in Kitchener, best Mexican food Kitchener Ontario, halal burrito Kitchener, cheap eats Pioneer Park, or fast casual lunch Kitchener — this is legitimately the answer. Also orders through Uber Eats, SkipTheDishes, and DoorDash if you don't want to leave the house, but honestly the in-person experience is better. Don't sleep on this spot. It's not trying to be fancy — it's just trying to feed you something good for a fair price. And it does exactly that.
