Dinghy is a cozy cafe situated on Fushimi in Shimizu that primarily caters to the lunch crowd and those looking for a quiet spot to enjoy a solo dining experience. The cafe is known for its great coffee and desserts, offering a variety of vegetarian options and quick bites. While there is no delivery service, patrons can choose between dining in or taking their meals to go.
The atmosphere at Dinghy is casual and trendy, providing table service for those who prefer to relax while enjoying their meal. Visitors have noted the flavorful cooking, emphasizing natural, lightly seasoned dishes. Despite the limited operating hours from Tuesday to Thursday, the cafe appears to thrive with a steady stream of customers. Though the lack of recent information from the owner limits insights into ongoing developments at the cafe, Dinghy seems to maintain a dedicated following. The use of dashi stock in their dishes and availability of additional sauces allow diners to adjust flavors according to their liking. For those seeking payment flexibility, Rakuten Pay is accepted here, although it's not specifically mentioned whether other payment methods are available.

The wife's cooking has long been well-received, and she opened the restaurant a few years ago. I visited on a weekday, and the restaurant was busy and full. We sat down and ordered lunch, and after a while a table was filled with plates and soup bowls. (Feels like traveling to Korea) All of them are lightly flavored and deliciously seasoned with the dashi soup stock, but if you like strong flavors, multiple sauces are included so you can adjust accordingly. It was delicious and filling. It's a thriving store. I was so hungry that I didn't take any photos and started cooking, but I'll post photos next time. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
