I found this gem of a restaurant by luck, and what a bit of luck it was. Our party of 4 have all been lucky enough to eat in some very nice places in a few different countries. This wonderful small restaurant is right up there. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, the menu was interesting, innovative, local, seasonal and fresh. The chef produced beautifully cooked and presented food. There was nothing we didn’t enjoy about the experience. Thank you Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £50–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Great food. Lovely team and great service. Real gem in Whitstable. Modern British fire cooked food well seasoned and great flavours. We will definitely be back. Well deserved on 5* star reviews and our kids loved it. They were great with kids. Highly recommend a must visit. Help support another great new independent in Whitstable. We are now coming back to Whitstable for the amazing food. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Just tried drift. in Whitstable and honestly… what a find. Tucked away on Oxford Street, this tiny little spot already feels like one of those places people will be talking about a lot very soon. It’s small, relaxed, and has that effortless, intimate vibe that makes you want to stay longer than you planned. The food was seriously impressive — thoughtful, well put together, and full of flavour without trying too hard. You can tell there’s real care behind what’s coming out of the kitchen. It’s the kind of menu where you want to try everything. Service felt warm and genuine, not over the top — just the right balance that makes the whole experience feel personal rather than polished-for-show. Whitstable has no shortage of great places to eat, but this feels different. New, exciting, and still under the radar. If you’re in town, go now — before everyone else catches on.
