Everything was really good that we had to come back the next 2 nights for desserts to take home. We also wanted to come back to try their lunch pasta course but our schedule didn’t permit so we sadly weren’t able to. But next time we go to tokyo, we’ll be sure to come back again! This was one of the best fine dining experiences I had. The food was delicious and service was friendly. I would come back to eat here again if I could. I don't know how busy they get, but we reserved in advance to be sure via a website. For me the best dishes were the Lobster, the Wagyu Beef Cheek, and Duck Breast. But everything was yummy in general. The spoon appetizers were a Tuna Tartare or Ahi Tuna with Wasabi Capuccino Foam, which was interesting, and a Shrimp Tartlette that highlighted the flavor of the shrimp. The 10 Kinds Potage was very hearty and was very home-y in flavor. It was easy to drink and swallow and very tasty. The bread was also great with the whipped butter. The round one has a hard exterior but soft interior with the taste of spices. The rectangular one had a soft exterior with a more chewy interior. Both were great! The Smoked Salmon, which was lightly seared at the bottom, had a good smoky flavor with the salmon roe complementing the dish. The Duck Breast was cooked perfectly and there was an onion with truffle inside. They paired very well together with the soft onion providing some sweetness and the truffle providing more flavor. The Scallop with Bouillabaisse and a White Bean Puree was also good. The bouillabaisse was rich which was complemented by a more starchy puree and the scallop itself. Me and my partner ordered different fish and meat dishes so there were two items to try for those courses. The Lobster was great with a lobster bisque type of sauce. It came with risotto that paired well with the lobster. The Lobster was cooked well and was easy to eat with a lot of flavor. The Red Bream (Tai) was well done. The skin was very crispy while the fish was still tender, which made it fun to eat. The Wagyu Beef Cheek, I would strongly recommend. The beef itself is so tender and the sauce is delicious. I would savor each bite as I ate it. The Sautéed Domestic Beef Fillet also tasted good with 2 parts that were given. The sauces gave more flavor to the beef. The Dessert was a refreshing end to the meal with the strawberries and light puff pastry type of pastry. We had a strawberry cake at the end and that was also delicious! The service was great. We don't speak Japanese, but the staff still tried to communicate with us the best they could and we appreciated it. Even with that, we felt welcome and we had a great experience with them. Overall we enjoyed the experience and the food and would recommend people to try it out! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ¥10,000+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I've had dinner at Ensia on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed. Ensia is a hidden gem! The food, service, and head chef, Mr. Suzuki, provide a memorable experience. He pairs the food with a selection of nice wines and the presentation is what you'd expect from a Michelin star rated restaurant. Mr. Suzuki is extremely personable and hospitable, ensuring that you'll have a fantastic meal and ambiance. The seating is limited so I recommend making reservations. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Tokyo. Do yourself a favor and spoil yourself with a great meal at Ensia! (Mr. Suzuki speaks English for those of you who aren't fluent in Japanese.) Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ¥9,000–10,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Dietary restrictions: If you're want gluten free food, merely inform Mr. Suzuki when you make reservations. He will accommodate your needs.
