Halu is a cafe nestled on a hill at Nishigakuden 2-ku in Furano, offering splendid views and a cozy atmosphere. It's located near the Furano Kaju Kobo and welcomes visitors with its stylish charm. Despite being called a cafe, Halu also provides meal options, particularly known for its flavorful chicken curry and handmade dishes using local ingredients like Furano-produced wagyu ragù sauce pasta.
Visitors often appreciate the welcoming nature of the owner, noting a warm reception upon each visit. There's a sense of care in both the service and the preparation of each dish. The cafe mainly offers Italian cuisine and is popular among tourists exploring Furano, especially those wishing to pause and enjoy picturesque views of the Tokachi mountain range from their windows.
Halu operates from Wednesday through Sunday, between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM, providing ample opportunities for both early risers and lunchtime hunger calls. It has a reputation for its affordable price range while maintaining quality dining options. However, it's worth noting that the latest visitor reviews are five years old, and there is little recent information available about potential changes to operational details or menu offerings. Halu has a larger parking area, making it accessible for visitors traveling by rental car.
The lack of recent updates could mean many things, so it’s always advisable to check for any new developments or confirmations if you plan to visit. If you're exploring Furano and looking for a quaint spot to enjoy a meal with a view, Halu offers a pleasant option.
