Both Stift Haug and hotvolee are recommended for visiting. You can always try perfectly cooked bacon and good burgers at this restaurant. Food delivery is an important benefit of hotvolee. Hotvolee was a supposed glimmer of hope for good burgers/"street food" in Würzburg. Some time ago we ordered as a whole group for a birthday (for about 8 people), but since then the food hasn't inspired us to think about Hotvolee again when we eat burgers. It's not bad by any means, but it's not special either. The advertising slogan “Just damn fine street food” became “Just damn street food” for us. It's a shame that it comes to us/me like that. Given the ambience and price, we were excitedly looking forward to it. However, across different burgers we found that the taste was underwhelming. The fries were rather tasteless, the sauces for both the burger and fries were more of a mixture, tasteless, lacking character or very monotonous. Sauces in particular are very essential for burgers in order to round off the taste but also to make it harmonious, especially if other ingredients lack excellence or a certain freshness. The buns just weren't as fresh and soft, just as bland and sticky even though they looked solid. Finally, we also had extra sauce (was it cherry wood BBQ?), which was quite smoky but otherwise boring - the list of ingredients on it revealed how basic the mixture was. All in all, not spectacular.
