After you have seen El Faro de Maspalomas, come to this restaurant. Italian cuisine is a must-taste one at il PosTo. Come here for tasty spaghetti carbonara, pizza Margherita and risotto if you are hungry. It's worth visiting this place for good tiramisu. You will be offered delicious limoncello, wine or margaritas. Most likely, you'll come back to this spot later to order great coffee.
The homely atmosphere of this restaurant allows guests to relax after a hard working day. A lot of visitors mention that the staff is attentive at this place. The nice service is a big advantage of il PosTo. Reasonable prices are what you are to pay for your meal. Google users awarded this place 4.6.

Went there for a simple takeaway lunch around 2:30pm while holding my daughter, who is under 2 years old. The restaurant was almost empty, so I expected a fairly straightforward and reasonably quick order: grilled salmon with fries and a pizza. The waiter was very reassuring at first and told me to relax and wait, even mentioning they would cook the salmon properly for my daughter. However, after waiting well over 20 minutes, it became increasingly obvious that the food had barely even been started. I asked several times where the food was, and each time I was told “2 or 3 more minutes.” Meanwhile, I could see the fries only being started much later, and the pizza had still not gone into the oven when I eventually decided to leave. What disappointed me most was not just the delay, but the lack of honest communication. If there is going to be a long wait, simply say so clearly instead of repeatedly saying the food is almost ready. To be fair, they eventually offered part of the food for free, but by then I no longer wanted it. Better communication and better organisation would have avoided the entire situation. Very disappointing experience. Meal type: Lunch Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

A true hidden gem in Maspalomas! I honestly had given up hope of eating anything truly good on Gran Canaria. Every day of this holiday we’ve been trying different restaurants – even some of the most elegant and stylish ones – and every time the food was disappointing: bland, rubbery, or simply bad. Even in our hotel, the meals were nothing special. I was convinced it was just impossible to eat well on this island. Then we found Il Posto – and what a surprise! The restaurant itself looks very modest and unassuming, hidden among a row of rather ordinary seafront places. I wasn’t expecting much… but the food here completely changed my mind. It’s run by Italians who really cook with authentic Italian products, and you can taste the difference in every bite. The arrabbiata was absolutely delicious, the pizzas excellent, and the focaccia spot on. I especially recommend the tagliata – it was honestly the best meat I’ve had here, tender and full of flavor, unlike the tough, tasteless dishes we’ve had elsewhere. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. If you’re in Maspalomas and you actually want to eat good food, this is, in my opinion, the only place to go. A wonderful surprise in the most unassuming of spots. Highly recommended!
