eating with other people in big table. Pretty atmosphere. English speaking staffs were welcoming. Chicken shawarma was yummy, portion enough for slightly hungry belly of mine who already ate coffee and pound cake previous to this lunch. pretty street outside.

Deserves a 6. Beautifully prepared and presented middle eastern fare with distinctive twists. Had the lamb combo tender and juicy. Great falafel and rice with lentils was special, but nothing prepared us for the banana desert. House made smoked ice cream over a smoked banana with a light caramel sauce accent. Sounds unusual and it was....unusually delicious. Great staff in comfortable surroundings. Communal table with a skylight! Go!! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ¥3,000–4,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: It's middle eastern

汽 [ki:] There is a Lebanese restaurant in Shimogyo Ward that is difficult to find in Kyoto, or even in Japan. The store is located in a renovated house along the river and has a really cool structure. I popped in during lunch time. What I was a little confused about was the system where you pay immediately after entering the store and then take your seat. The system where you look at the menu on a tablet instead of a menu book and make a decision is to the point where you would be surprised if someone was standing in line behind you. Among them, I listened to the store staff's recommendation and chose this one. 100% pomegranate juice 700 yen Chicken + Felafel 2,400 yen The interior of the store was spacious at the back, and it was a nice space with plenty of outside light. After we were seated, pomegranate juice came out first. It has a strong, strong flavor with a hint of pomegranate. What is falafel? A Middle Eastern dish made by crushing chickpeas and fava beans, mixing them with spices, and then frying them in cooking oil. The plate has chicken in the center, 3 pieces of falafel, sour cream and salad vegetables. Gray pita bread is apparently made by drying the skins of beans and onions, turning them into a powder, and kneading them into the dough. It's shaped like a pocket, so the Lebanese style is to put the ingredients in there and eat it. Everything was new, new and a new experience. It feels expensive because there is no volume compared to the price, but the experience value is high, so if you are even slightly interested, I recommend giving it a try. Thank you for the meal ————————————————————— steam [ki:] 149 Toshicho, Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto-shi, Kyoto 600-8111 ————————————————————— Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ¥3,000–4,000 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5
