If you’re around Texas and craving some proper BBQ, you gotta check out Lane’s Oak’d BBQ. I stopped by there recently and honestly, it felt like one of those easygoing local spots where you can just kick back, eat slow, and enjoy the atmosphere without anybody rushing you. Real chilled Texas vibe. The first thing I liked was the outdoor seating area. Super nice setup if the weather’s good. You can sit outside with friends, enjoy the smoke smell from the pit in the air, and just relax for a couple hours. It’s got that simple, comfortable feeling that makes you wanna stay longer than you planned. Food wise, man they know what they’re doing. The meat was smoky, juicy, and full of flavor without trying too hard. You can tell they take BBQ seriously there. The brisket was tender, ribs had a nice bark, and the portions were proper Texas style, nobody leaves hungry. The sides were solid too, especially with an ice-cold drink on the table. What I also liked was the atmosphere. No fancy stuff, no pretending, just friendly people, good service, and great food. Staff were welcoming and laid back, which made the whole experience even better. It’s the kind of place you’d recommend to a buddy visiting town and say, Yep, this is the spot. Definitely worth stopping by if you want authentic Texas BBQ with a relaxed vibe. This place rocks. We showed up for a company lunch and the service crew was the absolute best — friendly, upbeat, just awesome. I got the TX pork sandwich, and my meat server convinced me to get it “with love,” aka pork + bacon + sausage + coleslaw. A masterpiece. The sandwich was gigantic and delicious, the steak fries were perfectly seasoned, and of course I grabbed two chocolate chip sea salt cookies because I have zero self-control. The whole vibe was fun and relaxing. The staff crushed it today, so I went back to thank them and blame them for how full I was. I found myself driving to Addison, TX., to meet a friend for dinner. We decided to meet at Lane's Oak'D BBQ, and this was the first time for us both. When I arrived there, I saw my friend already had a table for us as it was sit your self type bbq restaurant. The atmosphere is mostly quiet some music but not too loud and we could hold a nice conversation in normal indoor speaking voice. What I noticed that it has indoor/outdoor seating area. Both sitting areas are well organized, neat in appearance and very clean it boasts a bar and plenty of sitting space. The staff at this establishment were all friendly ready and egear to help. Mr. Alexis, was the server and he handle the cutting knife like a surgeon and with percise cuts. He was very polite and very friendly and made great suggestions for plates to order. Our cashier was Ms. Penny, who was very friendly polite and very welcoming and was ready to serve. I ordered one (2) meat plate wagyu brisket, for $23.99 with potato salad, and coleslaw, for $4.00, regular house fries, for $5.50 1 each can of dr. pepper/sprite @ $2.50 each. The house fries were hot, well seasoned, not crispy but very tasty. The coleslaw was very delicious, crunchy and very tasty, the potato salad was none like I ever had before and very delicious. The wagyu brisket was so tender, juicy, but to me it lacked a little salt. But over all I was highly impressed with Oak'D BBQ, the service was awesome, the food was delicious and I was highly satisfied. If I am ever in this neck of the woods I will come again.
