A beautiful little pasta spot in the middle of Aoyama. Tucked away under the stairs, is one of the best pasta spots in Tokyo. The staff was incredibly kind and knowledgable, and they picked out the perfect wine to accompany the meal. There was a huge selection of pasta ranging from classic dishes to more fusion japanese style, but you cannot go wrong with any selection. My favorite dish of the night was the signature Yamayuki tuna tartare, wonderfully creamy and decadent. A must visit spot in Tokyo, and i cannot wait to come back! Had a really great lunch here, delicious food and genuinely warm, friendly service made it an easy win. Started with the tuna tartare, which was a lovely opener. Really clean, elegant flavors with a nice balance in texture. The pasta and risotto were both full of flavor, and I was pleasantly surprised by how well the shirako was worked into the pasta, rich, creamy, and actually quite beautifully done. Venison can sometimes lean and dry, but this one was spot on, juicy, medium rare, and still kept that nice gamey character without being overpowering. Sat right in front of the kitchen, which made the whole experience even better. It’s always fun watching the chef and team work so seamlessly together to put out each dish. Wine list is a bit on the pricey side, but there’s a solid selection to choose from. Meal type: Lunch
