We went to Manolis because we saw its high ranking and so many reviews, but we were completely disappointed. The food was terrible. We ordered three dishes and didn’t finish any of them. The reviews were so good, but many of them are quite old, so I felt I needed to share an updated review from our perspective. We ordered manolis salads, vegetarian burger and spare ribs. At the end they gave us some sweets and ouzo on the house, which were nice. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €45–50 Vegetarian options: Very bad options

Whenever in Crete, we always come to mister Manolis and his restaurant to say hi and eat something. Everything is very good here, so you should give it a try when around Rethymno city. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €25–30 Parking space: Somewhat difficult to find parking

AVOID THIS PLACE ! I would give it a -1 if possible. And also stay away from the rudest owner -(Manolis) , who has no respect to humans !!! On September 3 , 2026 around 22:30 my friend and I decided to try this place for a Greek beer and a Greek fried potatoes. As soon as we sat at the table we order the beer and fries for both of us . Since we had the menu in our hands we decided to check it out and probably order something else . WE NEVER HAD THE CHANCE ! The owner came and start screaming at us , and I quote : “ Why are you taking my table only for a beer and fries” , and then he kept yelling and screaming at us and also he pulled the menu out of my hands while I was holding it ! We were shocked . We were humiliated, and yelled because all we wanted is a beer and fries which they offer at the menu . The owner is a very rude person with a big mustache who sit in a single table a the center , and he is a very, very mean person ! After all the scene he created I stand up I paid for the order that we never consumed and left the place . AVOID , AVOID , AVOID THIS MANOLIS PLACE !!! And dear owner please do not try to explain and tell how sorry you are, because you do not . You are emotionally unstable person , who has no culture, no ethics and no respect to humans ! Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
