All the clients love great Japanese cuisine at this restaurant. Most guests recommend trying nicely cooked smoked salmon, salmon nigiri and scallops. Try good crème brûlée, sesame ice cream and creamy cakes that are proposed at moment sushi. Here you may order delicious soju or good wine. Great iced green tea is the right choice.

Shocked I haven't left a review already! I have eaten here 20+ times and can confirm.. it is the best. I am a personal chef in SD and have worked in many restaurants in Seattle if this at all helps sway you. Wook and his wife Wendy run a beautiful and thoughtful restaurant that is welcoming and cozy as soon as you arrive. The Moment team treats each customer like family. Rarely do you find a sushi spot with impeccable service and perfectly executed food. The level of consistency here is why we keep coming back. I have brought friends and fellow chefs and the general consensus is, you need it. Now to the food. The smokey salmon oshi is a must- we get it every time. All of the fish is always incredibly fresh, I love getting the salmon belly and yellowtail belly. Hamachi Kama is always perfectly cooked. Hand rolls are a stand out and they offer lots of delicious combinations. Get a little side of yuzu kosho to go with it all! Fingers crossed that they will open a location in Cardiff/Encinitas! Me and my family were looking for a place to eat after the air show and this place popped up so we decided to give it a try. We got here right after they opened on Sat, and since we didn't have rsvp, we were seated outside. The inside decor looked pretty nice, and the outdoor had a little individual cover. We ordered 3 rolls to share with, garlic edamame, cucumber seaweed salad, and chef's choice hand rolls. Overall the fish tasted fresh, rice tasted okay but I think it was a bit overpriced compared to other places with similar quality. The service was good, food came out pretty fast. I'm not sure if I'll come back but if I do, it will be for lunch.
