Dubai is a multicultural megapolis full of miracles, and one of them is butter chicken with Indian spices and yogurt-based sauce!
Old Delhi butter chicken
Butter Chicken is one of the most popular dishes of Indian cuisine. Savory and aromatic chicken chunks are sautéed in a delicious creamy curry sauce, and then added as a topping to a portion of Basmati rice or right on a flatbread. Though this dish is ridiculously easy to make at home, a nice combination of spices and yogurt-based sauce will transport you to a completely astonishing world of new tastes and aromas. This thick nutty chicken sauce is often served at Arabic and Indian restaurants as a part of complex side dishes, or alone — to dazzle your appetite and pamper the taste buds with the rich aromas of the East.
Step 1. Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the oil, butter, and onions and cook onions down until lightly golden, about 3-4 minutes.
Step 2. Add ginger and garlic and let cook for 30 seconds, stirring so it doesn’t burn.
Step 3. Add the chicken, tomato paste, and spices. Cook for 5-6 minutes or until everything is cooked through.
Step 4. Add the heavy cream and simmer for 8-10 minutes stirring occasionally.
Step 5. Serve over Basmati rice or with a naan.
