I purchased two cakes from Taste Cakes today, and my experience with the first staff member I dealt with was very unprofessional and disappointing. Initially spoke to a shorter Filipino employee to ask whether a message could be written on the cakes. He immediately and dishonestly told me that only two words could be written, which turned out to be incorrect, as there was no such limitation when ordering through the app. After deciding to purchase the cakes, he instructed me to place the order online. Once I had completed the order, I returned to let him know, but instead of assisting me, he rudely pointed me towards another member of staff as though he doesn’t work there or as if it was not his responsibility to help. Fortunately, the second employee a taller gentleman who wears glasses provided an excellent customer service experience. He was polite, professional, and happily wrote the message I had requested without any issues. While I appreciate the excellent service from the second gentleman with the glasses, the poor attitude and lack of helpfulness from the first employee left a very negative impression. Unfortunately, because of that experience, I will not be returning. If you do visit Taste Cakes, I would recommend seeking assistance from the gentleman with the glasses, who demonstrated the level of professionalism and customer service that every customer should expect.
