I love it, they make me feel at home and the prices are very affordable. The customer service is spectacular. The food and drinks are very varied. I really recommend the place. Also for those who want to enjoy smoking a cigar and have a good deal like eating at the same time, you can find a suitable place for it on the ground floor of the restaurant with excellent service. I recently attended a birthday brunch at The Brick House, though it oddly did not have a menu for that time of day, leaving us to order from the dinner list instead. The pricy options were mostly main courses with included sides. A complete meal was a bit much for me at 1 pm, but I did the best I could. Before the food even arrived, we were given a plate of toast slices covered with melted cheese, as well as large rolls. The cheese was funky, but made the bread really delicious, while the rolls were a bit too dry. Next up was the house salad, which included a variety of lettuces, grape tomatoes, radishes, cucumbers, and olives in a savory vinaigrette. I thought the salad was great and appreciated the plentiful toppings, but I also felt there could have been less dressing. For my main course, I selected the Black Bass Oreganta special. The fish was fresh and tender. However, it was also breaded, which I would have avoided had I known that fact. Maybe I should have been more familiar with the oreganta preparation, but also the server did not give me many details when I had inquired about it. The sauce was also an oily one with lemon, oregano, garlic, and white wine. It was fine, but not really my taste. I was able to accompany the filet with my choice of a baked potato, shoestring French fries, or rice. I selected the rice, which was enjoyable. I tried the fries as well and found them sad and unseasoned. Overall, the food offerings were rather basic, but they were done reasonably well, and the portions were generous for the price. Despite my mixed feelings on the food, I thought the restaurant, which was located inside a beautiful home, was very elegant. The staff was also largely attentive, even when we were the only table, besides 2 large parties that were taking place in other rooms. I suppose I would go back to The Brick House for its lovely atmosphere, but I would probably order something less saucy next time, like the steaks, which DID receive rave reviews from the other folks at my table.
