Nestled along Al Hussein Ibn Ali, Wooden Coffee in Riyadh offers a range of service options, including dine-in, takeaway, and delivery, alongside outdoor seating for those who enjoy fresh air with their coffee. This somewhat understated café is not prominently listed on popular restaurant directories but does maintain a minimal online presence.
Patrons can expect a casual and cozy atmosphere, making it a suitable spot for families, groups, and university students. The café features simple amenities like a fireplace and provides options like great coffee, delightful desserts, and a notable tea selection. Operational from late afternoon until the early hours, it caters to those seeking their morning brew or late-night bites.
Despite its appeal, recent visitor input indicates mixed reviews about indoor and outdoor setups, yet consistently praises the quality of the coffee and service, especially the iced drip coffee prepared by barista John. While it offers private rooms, these are reportedly on the pricier side. There appears to be a lack of recent updates from the establishment itself regarding any changes or improvements.

If you’re looking for a coffee shop that reinvents the basics in the worst possible way, this is the place. Apparently, cappuccinos here only exist in one size—small. Medium and large? Too ambitious, I guess. Interesting concept for a café. It gets better. I ordered an Americano and asked for a little milk on the side. The waiter confidently said “no,” in as if I’d requested something completely outrageous instead of… milk. At a coffee shop. No explanation, no effort to accommodate—just a firm refusal and a surprisingly unfriendly attitude. It’s honestly impressive how they manage to make such simple requests feel like a problem. If customer service was part of the menu, I’m guessing it would also be unavailable. Wouldn’t recommend unless you enjoy being told “no” over basic coffee orders. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
