Aesthetically Good but the serving and quality difficult to compare to other Asian Restaurants in Alameda. I had high expectations for Peak, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. For a place that feels "exclusive" with its reservation-only system, the food and value simply do not match the premium price point. 1. The Main Course (Pad Krapow): This was a major letdown. Unlike the traditional dry, aromatic stir-fry you find at most Thai restaurants, this version was incredibly soupy. The meat was swimming in liquid, making it feel more like a stew than a sautéed dish. It was so off-putting that I couldn't even finish my meal. The plating was also strange, as the meat wasn't even served on top of the rice as is standard. 2. Portions (Tom Kha): The flavor of the Tom Kha was okay, but the serving size was very small. Compared to the generous portions at other Thai spots in the East Bay, this felt like poor value for the cost. 3. The Dessert ($15 Pandan Toast): The biggest disappointment was the Pandan Toast. Charging $15 for a single slice of brioche, a scoop of ice cream, and some shredded coconut is excessive. It felt like a simple assembly job that anyone could put together at home in five minutes. While it looked nice, there was no complexity or "wow factor" to justify such a high price. Final Verdict: The gap between the high prices and the actual quality of the food is too wide. There are much better Thai options nearby that offer more authentic flavors and better portions for your money. I won't be returning. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Vegetarian offerings: Not sure

We went for brunch on a Saturday. No line or wait for a table. Menu looked promising and food was decent. The tom yum egg shrimp was flavorful. Broth was very tasty. The panda brioche toast was very pretty and the panda cream was tasty, but it was just brioche toast with cream on it. My bad for thinking it was going to be like a french toast - a little more substantial of a meal. I left still hungry and grabbed 2 tacos down the block at the taqueria.
