A cosy little local shop that I will visit everytime I’m in Asakusa. Love the atmosphere and the food. I promised the young attendant that whenever I’m in Asakusa, I’ll visit them. Just a few minutes walk from my hotel. I know some reviews commented on their service, but this is a local shop and even the young girl speaks limited English, so they might be shy to communicate with tourists. The first time I visited the shop, I’m short of 100yen. The young girl took out her wallet and paid for me. The next time I visited after a couple of months, I paid her back and chatted a bit with her using Google translation. Now she remembers me whenever I visit. Best yakitori we had in our 3 months in Japan, period. The chicken wings were to die for — nice char and super juicy. Service wasn’t the overly friendly style you get at tourist restaurants, but that’s exactly the charm — focused, authentic, just spot on. We’ll definitely come back.
