Based on the recommendation of a local bartender, I went here and was not disappointed. I was only in Beppu for two nights and went here on both. I was looking for a genuine, family-owned izakaya and this fulfilled all of my expectations. If you like sake, and hand-made food, this place is heaven. Brush up on your Japanese.
