Fantastic experience! We found this typical bar by chance; we just went with our instincts. There's limited seating, but it's cozy. The lady in the kitchen is very kind and friendly, and the food is truly delicious! Price per person: ¥2,000–3,000

Lovely time at this izakaya. The food was fantastic - we got skewers, eggs and leek, pork with kimchi and a few other things. The owner was very friendly. Highly recommended. During our 5-day trip to Tokyo, one of the most memorable dining experiences was at Ichidai (一代) in Asakusa. We stumbled upon this charming restaurant late at night when most places were closed, and it was a true gem. The draft beer was fantastic, and the yakitori was delicious—definitely worth trying. Although I didn’t get the chance to try the bell pepper and egg stir-fry because we were too full, it looked great on other tables. What made our visit even more special was the incredibly friendly owner. Their warm hospitality really made us feel welcome. If you’re in Asakusa and looking for a great place to eat, Ichidai is a must-visit. It was the perfect ending to our Tokyo adventure and one of the highlights of our trip!
