It is the greatest place near Roppongi. All the visitors love great Japanese cuisine at this restaurant. The accommodating staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place wonderful. Nice service is something that guests highlight in their reviews. People appreciate the enjoyable atmosphere at Kappo Ikkon, they want to come here again and again. Had a wonderfully experience I can only recommend! If you’re looking for authentic yet comfortable Japanese kaiseki experience, this is the place. Local fresh ingredients cooked differently everyday, very friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and most importantly: delicious results!! I will definitely go again (make sure to book before going!) I've lived in Japan for 10 years, and my partner and I chose this as our last meal before relocating and leaving Japan - and what a perfect last meal it was. The head chef puts so much care into each dish, and the menu changes every day depending on local ingredients, the season, the weather, etc. That being said, it didn't feel experimental - every dish we had was incredible and had me wanting to eat more. The staff here were incredibly kind, and we chatted for a few hours during our meal on an intimate 4 seater counter setting. I'd come back in a heartbeat whenever I visit Japan again. Service and attention aside, the food was perfect. 10/10 would come again. Price per person: ¥10,000+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Kappo Ikkon. I have tried many omakase courses in Tokyo over the years, but I can confidently say that this was one of the best omakase experiences I’ve ever had — not only in terms of presentation, but also taste, balance, and overall atmosphere. From the very first appetizer, the course felt thoughtful and intentional. Each dish was clean, precise, and beautifully paced, allowing the flavors to shine without ever feeling overwhelming. The use of seasonal ingredients was outstanding, and every plate felt carefully composed rather than showy. What impressed me most was the consistency throughout the course. There was no single “weak” dish — everything flowed naturally from start to finish, creating a calm, refined, and deeply satisfying dining experience. The counter seating allowed me to fully appreciate the craftsmanship and attention to detail, and the hospitality was warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. This visit was not just for work or PR — I truly loved the experience and will definitely return again on my own.
