A close friend who knows the local food scene well recommended this place, and I'm glad I took their advice. The first thing you notice is the massive wooden door. It looks dignified, yet slightly intimidating, and most people probably hesitate for a moment before touching it. I did too. However, the atmosphere changes instantly once you step inside. The staff welcome you right away, and when you leave, they take the time to see you off. You can sense that hospitality is taken seriously here, and this sets the tone for the entire experience. The owner-chef may appear strict and reserved in his online profile, the kind of craftsman who speaks little and focuses solely on technique. In reality, however, he is friendly, relaxed, and surprisingly funny. After one visit, it becomes clear why people return again and again. The restaurant offers a single menu, priced reasonably for the quality. Every dish features ingredients that he personally selects from the market, including seasonal fish paired with the finest vegetables. Since the menu changes daily, each visit feels unique. The interior is just as memorable. Large, single-slab wooden counter, tables and warm textures create a calm, refined space that feels both special and comfortable. Having worked in major cities across Japan, the chef's experience is evident in the precision of every dish. Nothing is flashy, yet nothing feels lacking. Even the soba noodles are handmade in-house daily, adding another layer of authenticity to the meal. Small side dishes arrive one after another, naturally encouraging you to keep eating. The flavours are gentle yet deeply satisfying, and would pair beautifully with drinks for those who enjoy them. Even the restroom is surprisingly elegant and immaculately clean, reflecting the restaurant's high standards. This is the kind of place that turns a meal into a memorable occasion rather than just dinner. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ¥7,000–8,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
