I am a foreigner who has visited 35 cities in Japan and eaten at Michelin restaurants all the world, but I return to this spot whenever I’m in Niigata. It’s a very short walk from the station, with a friendly and knowledgeable staff on both sides of the counter. There is an enormous seaport in Niigata so this must be amongst freshest sushi anywhere. I always order a set to begin and then add more of whatever the chef suggests. Any sake they suggest is perfectly suited. This is a solid Japanese sushi experience. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
