Located on Honcho Street in Funabashi, 大松 (Omatsu) is a traditional yakitori restaurant with a longstanding reputation. Operating for 40 years, it is run by a proprietress and her daughter who serve meticulously crafted skewers and other Japanese delicacies. While reservations are accepted due to table service being the norm, diners should note the absence of explicit delivery options or wheelchair-accessible features.
Patrons looking for a cozy atmosphere and Japanese spirit selections tend to frequent this establishment. Omatsu offers an array of drinks, including beer and alcohol with their meals. Reviews from some years back have praised the grilled offerings, like the chef’s grilled liver, suggesting that these dishes may stand out among their offerings. Mystery surrounds any potential recent updates to the menu or service since the last visitor review was notably four years ago.
Operating Sunday through Saturday, except Tuesday, from 5 PM to 10 PM, Omatsu may appeal to those keen on evening dining. Its prominent mention on a local TV series might have contributed to its fame, but as of now, no new information from the owners has surfaced. Diners seeking authentic regional flavors with classic yakitori might find this an interesting choice, though comparisons to recent eateries might be limited by the lack of recent feedback.

As expected, the chef's grilled liver with salt was exquisite. The yakitori made up for the clutter. I definitely want to go to Omatsu again Yahoo!
