Kwun Tong 觀塘｜Pearl Pearl Kitchen It has been a while since I have Shanghai and Sichuan food, and why not have them both at the same time? Pearl Pearl Kitchen is the place to go! This time, I tried: Signature Xiao Long Bao The xiao long bao here is hot and juicy! Silk Thread Roll I love dipping this in condensed milk and it tastes so filling! Dan Dan noodles with fried chicken They put a lot of peanut sauce and it tastes heavy in it! The fried chicken is also very crispy! Bean Sheets with Shredded Chicken This is my favourite but I personally would prefer more peanut sauce. Cumin Beef The beef is a little spicy and goes well with the veggie! They also have a lot to offer in terms of their variety and if you are interested in the seafood, be sure to check in earlier and reserves them! Recently, my family and I had the pleasure of dining at Pearl Pearl Kitchen in Kwun Tong. This restaurant is located in Ngau Tau Kok, right next to the Lutheran School and adjacent to the Yee On Street Market, making it very convenient. We ordered the following dishes: Signature Xiao Long Bao (4 pieces) - 招牌小籠包 ($45) These Xiao Long Bao are incredibly authentic with thick, satisfying skins and bursting with flavorful soup. Dip them in ginger vinegar for an exquisite taste. Beijing Dumplings (6 pieces) - 北京水餃 ($42) These dumplings are filled with rich meat and served in a soupy broth with fresh vegetables, creating a delightful combination of flavors. Fried Shredded Roll (1 piece, condensed milk) - 炸銀絲卷 ($28) The Fried Shredded Roll is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It comes with condensed milk on the side, allowing you to adjust the amount according to your preference. This dish is my personal favorite. Shredded Chicken with Bean Starch Sheets - 雞絲粉皮 ($58) This dish is packed with abundant ingredients. The rich peanut sauce and tender chicken combine to create a truly delicious experience. Drunken Chicken with Flower Carving - 花彫醉雞 ($50) The Drunken Chicken is infused with a flavorful alcohol taste, and the chicken meat is incredibly tender, satisfying your taste buds. Shanghai Stir-Fried Noodles (served with soup and soy milk) - 上海粗炒麵 ($70) These Shanghai-style stir-fried noodles have a rich and satisfying texture.
