I made a booking here for New Year’s Eve because of the restaurant’s good reputation. I completely understand that some places may close early or operate shorter hours on a day like today — that’s not the issue. What’s unacceptable and honestly unbelievable is that I received an email confirmation and a reminder yesterday, yet when I arrived at the booked time, the restaurant was completely closed with the lights off — and there were even bags of rubbish left outside. No notice, no message, nothing. It left us stranded on the street on one of the busiest nights of the year, when most other restaurants were already fully booked. If I’d known, I would have booked somewhere else. Extremely frustrating and disappointing.
