Apteka in Pittsburgh is an amazing vegan restaurant that serves up traditional Polish dishes with a modern twist. The restaurant has a cool, modern vibe and the garden seating in the summer is an added bonus. The menu is written in Polish with English descriptions, making it easy to order. The food is extraordinary with flavors, sauces and minces that will leave you wanting more. The potato pancakes, pierogi, golabki (stuffed cabbage), kluski slaskie and baba jaga sandwich are all must-tries. The apple pancakes with berry reduction are also a delicious dessert option. The service is excellent and cordial, and they are willing to go above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience. The only downside is the long wait times at peak hours. All in all, Apteka is a great spot for vegans and non-vegans alike and one of the best places to get a taste of traditional Polish cuisine in Pittsburgh.
