After watching Manju-ji Temple, have a meal at Aikochan. Japanese cuisine under the direction of the great chef is gorgeous at this place. A number of guests of this restaurant note that nicely cooked okonomiyaki, yaki udon and yakisoba are offered here.
The pleasant staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place wonderful. The nice service shows a high level of quality at Aikochan. From the visitors' point of view, prices are reasonable. Enjoy the spectacular atmosphere here. Google gives it 4.8 so you can select this place to have a good time here.

Small hidden gem. After dining in Gion, markets and mainstream. I just wanted some solid authentic casual meal that the locals go to. One that we can also support the smaller business owners. Aikochan was high in the review list and around the corner from my accomodation. Oh my gosh, I sure was so pleased! The tastiest yakisoba I've tasted since being in Kyoto. A family owned business by 3 elder siblings or family friends. Two as chef. One as serving patrons. You can watch them prepare the food infront of you. The restaurant seats perhaps 5-6 ppl, although small, clean, great service ( I had a chilled cold beer waiting for my takeaway to be ready), food is amazing and such cheap prices. You can tell this is where the locals go and had such community feel to it. Note: you'll need to communicate via app A must go!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
