We came to Anthem a few nights ago, ordered the Thai Hippie Tofu, and could not stop thinking about it. So here we are again, and it was every bit as good the second time. Smoky, crispy, with that rich Thai peanut sauce, fresh herbs, and cashews. It's the dish that brought us back, and honestly, it's worth the trip on its own. This time we went bigger. The Char-Buff Cauliflower was a total surprise. It's vegan, but something about the crispy batter, the sriracha buffalo sauce, and the cauliflower all together gives serious mozzarella-sticks-dipped-in-marinara vibes. We kept saying it out loud between bites. The spicy charred edamame was addictive, and the ginger and yuzu guacamole was bright and fresh with a little twist you don't get anywhere else. The drinks matched the food. The Ube Espresso Martinis were smooth and fun, and the Prickly Mojito was crisp and refreshing. Everything was perfection. Our only complaint is that we don't have an Anthem back home in Corpus Christi. Whenever we're in Austin, we'll be back.
