A small family-run izakaya with over 60 years of history, starting from the paternal grandmother. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted with warmth and a homely feeling that makes you want to stay. During our 4 days here, we couldn’t resist visiting again — 2 lunches and 1 dinner. (The dinner menu is completely different, and definitely worth trying!) A true hidden gem that feels like home. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

One of my favorite meals in Japan during my three-week journey! My friend and I stopped here after a pilgrimage to the "Perfect Days" apartment The Aoba staff made us feel right at home and accommodated my request to make a vegetarian meal! They had English menus and prepared our lunch quickly. Lots of charming decor pieces to admire while we waited and we enjoyed talking to our new friends too.
