Assaggio Ristorante is one of those places that just feels right the moment you walk in. It has that classic, upscale Italian vibe without feeling stuffy or overdone. We were greeted warmly and the service from Chet throughout the night was genuinely good—attentive, but not hovering, which I always appreciate. I ordered the pollo marsala, and honestly, it was excellent. The chicken was tender and the marsala sauce had a rich, balanced flavor that didn’t feel too heavy. You can tell when a dish is done right, and this was one of those. I also had the minestrone soup, which really surprised me—in a good way. It tasted fresh, hearty, and like it was made from scratch, not something rushed out of a kitchen. What stood out most was how consistent everything felt. Nothing flashy, just really solid food and a comfortable atmosphere that makes you want to sit, relax, and enjoy your meal. Overall, I’d definitely recommend Assaggio if you’re looking for a quality Italian spot in Seattle.
