Excellent food!! The bread and olive oil dip with cloves of garlic, sun-dried tomatoes and rosemary was very tasty. We then had calamari for an appetizer and it was fried to perfection. Not chewy at all. Our entree was spaghetti carbonara which was very good too! We sat outside and our waitress was very attentive. Excellent dinner. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: $30–40

Assaggio Ristorante is one of those places that just feels right the moment you walk in. It has that classic, upscale Italian vibe without feeling stuffy or overdone. We were greeted warmly and the service from Chet throughout the night was genuinely good—attentive, but not hovering, which I always appreciate. I ordered the pollo marsala, and honestly, it was excellent. The chicken was tender and the marsala sauce had a rich, balanced flavor that didn’t feel too heavy. You can tell when a dish is done right, and this was one of those. I also had the minestrone soup, which really surprised me—in a good way. It tasted fresh, hearty, and like it was made from scratch, not something rushed out of a kitchen. What stood out most was how consistent everything felt. Nothing flashy, just really solid food and a comfortable atmosphere that makes you want to sit, relax, and enjoy your meal.
