Sweet fennel sauce, roasted peppers and provolone pizza (great) AND presser heirloom tomatoes, house bacon, caciocavallo pizza (okay)
Although overpriced the pizza at the table next to me looked good. I was willing to pay the price since a friend told me how good it was. I left just after being seated when I was told that a 20% gratuity is automatically added to the bill. Although I typically tip 20% I don't believe gratuities should be forced upon patrons.
Perfect way to end a long day of sightseeing! We found this place by chance when googling "pizza near me". It was late, we were hungry, and we just wanted something simple. Now, coming from LI, NY we can be a bit skeptical about pizza in other areas. This place deserves 5 stars. We ordered the buffalo mozzarella pie (Margherita), and also the sweet fennel sausage with fontina. They were smaller than what we're used to (personal size) and a bit pricey ($37 for both) - but - worth every bite! Every layer had taste; the crust was thin with crispy edge, the sauce had just enough zest, and it wasn't loaded with cheese. The place is cozy with counter height tables; be prepared to share the table with others if you're a small group. The place is small; we waited 20 minutes at 9:30 on a Monday night. Our server Jessica couldn't have been anymore friendly and accommodating. I couldn't decide between 2 beers, she brought out samples of each. Btw, they have beers from local breweries, nice touch. Last, don't leave without having dessert; the coconut cream pie was equally good. If we lived here this would be our go to place. When we visit again we will be sure to come back.
